Biwater Man Lee Ltd (BML) has recently been awarded its first contract in Vietnam.
The Urban Environment Company of The People's Committee, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, has awarded a joint venture between Biwater Man Lee and the local Vietnamese company Constrexim Holdings (a state owned contractor under the Ministry of Construction).
The contract is worth £3.8 million and comprises the construction of a 7,000 tonnes per day sequential batch reactor wastewater treatment plant. The scope of works to be carried out by Biwater Man Lee includes the supply of equipment, installation, testing, commissioning & training.
The project is funded by the World Bank (IRDB & IDA), and Black & Veatch have been appointed as the consultant engineer. The Contract programme is 20 months from 1st February 2006.
