SubscribeBiwater (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has been awarded a mechanical and electrical (M&E) sub-contract for the Sg Liang water treatment plant in Brunei. The contract was awarded by Hj Adinin & Sons (B) Sendirian Berhad.
When completed, the new Sg Liang water treatment plant will supply an additional 36.4 Mld of clean drinking water to the Kuala Beliat and Seria areas of Brunei, benefiting 116,000 people.
Biwater (Malaysia)'s M&E sub-contract is worth $26.0 million (USD $16.2 million).
The Sg Liang water treatment plant was opened on 8th April 2006 by Brunei's Minister of Development and on the same day, Biwater signed the M&E sub-contract.
