pH Test - Glossary Term

Commonly used test to determine if a substance is acid or alkaline. If a substance has a pH value lower than 7 then it is acidic. If a substance has a greater pH value than 7 then it is alkaline. A substance with a pH value of 7.0 is known as a neutral.
